Rob Dominis Solo Piano

Rob Dominis is an American-born pianist who has been based in Finland since 1989. He studied jazz piano at the University of Miami in Florida and has taught at the Helsinki Pop & Jazz Conservatory for over three decades.

Alongside his long teaching career, Dominis has performed extensively both in Finland and internationally. He has appeared on more than 30 recordings, and in 2015 he released his first self-produced solo piano album, Standards.

While jazz is closest to his heart, Dominis is known for his remarkable stylistic versatility. He has collaborated with many of Finland’s leading artists in pop, jazz, Latin, and dance music, enriching his musical expression and shaping his distinctive sound.

His solo piano performances feature carefully selected pieces that blend familiar and evocative melodies from various genres, presented with a personal and expressive touch.
